Nothing makes me feel better than spending time in the woods or even in my yard observing nature. I know we all have our own ways to relax, but for me, it is communing with nature. Did you ever notice that birds and animals just live, they don’t try to measure up or impress. They just live. They don’t overwork or purposely hurt one another for no reason. This may sound kind of far out there, but I think we could all learn a lesson from nature. You just don’t see obesely overweight animals stressed out in the woods going in to cardiac arrest!
Just spending a few minutes either in nature or even observing nature can bring some peace and quiet in to my life. Having a little area in the yard to watch the animals in their natural habitat goes a long way. In the winter time when I’m cooped up in the house, I am always longing to get back outside. A heated bird bath is the perfect way to get to see nature at work, while staying warm and dry. I have to admit that as much as I like nature and the outdoors, I am a real sissy when it comes to the cold!
